Product & service system design lab.
Product and Service System Design Lab focuses on integrated R&D on products and services. Design issues related to daily life are not solved just through product design itself. To solve the problems, one should approach them from the perspective of service.
Another approach in handling problems consists in applying universal design. By employing universal design, the Lab makes sure that not only ordinary adults but also seniors, disabled people, children, and foreigners conveniently use products and services. For this purpose, characteristics and requirements of various users are figured out by using such methods as user observation and interview, and usability evaluation.
