Program of Civil Engineering
Based on the educational purpose of “fostering new-concept, high-quality civil engineers” that are nature-centered and human-friendly and can lead the eco-friendly infra social structure, the civil engineering program of the SNUST Interdisciplinary Program of Medical Engineering and Biomaterials provides a cutting-edge civil engineering education for fostering general knowledge in relation planning, design, construction and maintenance for improving the economic feasibility, safety, eco-friendliness and maintenance efficiency of infrastructure that is fundamental to the development of civilizations while pursuing the harmony of natural preservation and development environment. In order to build a new-concept university system in step with the times, the program continuously attempts to develop and introduce specialized expert training systems by research domain to achieve integration between various studies. This program has succeeded in acquiring international competitiveness and improving the quality of advanced research personnel based on the enthusiasm of specialized professors and through the development of education/research programs that fit with the current era of globalization. In particular, by using the developed specialized educational programs, SNUST has succeeded in fostering outstanding personnel and acquiring national technology competitiveness to maximize synergy effects. At the same time, it has provided a foothold for fostering advanced personnel in both quantitative and qualitative aspects.
